Adadat Masr - Mobile Application
Smart tracking for Egypt's prepaid electricity meters.

About The Project
Adadat Masr (عدادات مصر) is a mobile app built to solve a very everyday Egyptian household problem: prepaid electricity meters give no digital history, no forecast, and no reminders on their own. The app turns manual meter-reading habits into a guided digital routine, logging readings, tracking recharges, and forecasting exactly when a household will run out of balance. The app serves single households and multi-property owners alike, with a fully bilingual, Arabic-first experience designed for the Egyptian market from the ground up.
Key Challenges
-
Egypt's prepaid electricity meters provide no digital history, forecasting, or low-balance alerts on their own.
-
Delivering a true Arabic-first UX with automatic right-to-left layout, not just translated strings.
-
Converting raw meter readings and top-up entries into an accurate "days remaining" forecast.
-
Building a lightweight gamification layer that encourages consistent logging without feeling gimmicky.
-
Scaling from a single household to full multi-house management without complicating the core flow.

Outcome
Adadat Masr replaces a manual, error-prone habit, writing meter numbers on paper, with a guided digital routine that fits how Egyptian households actually manage prepaid electricity. The app serves everyday users and multi-property owners in one bilingual, RTL-aware experience purpose-built for the local market.
